BEFORE OPERATION:

Before surgery, your surgeon will discuss with you your medical history, including whether you’ve had a lump removed from your breast or have any other medical conditions that affect your breasts. Your surgeon will also ask about your family’s medical history.

DURING OPERATION:

The surgeon will first make small incisions in the skin and insert a thin tube to suction the fat from the breasts, then your surgeon makes an incision around the areolae and down the middle of each breast . In this case, the areolae and nipple remain attached to the breasts, then they are repositioned when the breasts tissues and excess fats are removed.

While in the case that the breasts are very large, the areolas are removed and reattached higher up via a skin graft.

Your surgeon reshapes the breasts and makes sure of the proportions of symmetry between them and then stitches back the wounds.

After the breast reduction is completed, The surgeon wraps the breasts in bandages and holds them in place with a surgical support bra.

The recovery period may take up to two weeks, and heavy lifting should be avoided.

Strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least one month after the surgery.
